NEB-U-MASK Systems

During an acute asthma attack, a patient may be given oxygen or heliox in combination with
pharmacologic therapies. The challenge of this treatment strategy is the lack of a device that allows for the simultaneous delivery of medical gases and aerosolized medication. Low oxygen saturation has been correlated inversely with the rate of hospitalization, which puts caregivers in a difficult situation when
faced with the need to remove the oxygen mask to facilitate a neb or MDI treatment.
Introducing the Neb-U-Mask, a combination device that allows for the concurrent delivery of aerosolized medications and high concentrations of oxygen or heliox. The system is composed of an innovative wye design featuring a nebulizer connection and MDI adaptor, a high concentration mask and a 750ml gas reservoir bag. The nebulizer connection features a valved port, which maintains a closed system when
the neb is not in use.
Neb-U-Mask is available in both adult and pediatric versions, and is packaged with a Micro Mist® nebulizer and colored gas supply tubing to facilitate ease of use. The device nebulizes at angles up to 90° and features a swivel connector, allowing the system to be used in a manner that is most comfortable for
the patient.
